Ukraine Ecotage

“10 kms of interstate highway staked out for extension were sabotaged 24 August in Northern Ukraine.

Although some could argue that activism like this is not even worth mentioning (that’s our own attitude on the matter, for example, like shoplifting or stensils), we do find it necessary to mention the act.

First reason is an important notice that usually fails to make its way into minds of some of our comrades. While it is important to respond to System offensive actions (like reactive attacks that took place in Kharkov and Saint-Petersburgh and Moscow and basically everywhere, where eco-anarchists RESPOND to raping of Nature), we find it more important to continue our attacks on technology and its means of destruction of nature even when no concrete offense is taking place.
In our case we just happened upon some old highway extension project, which, like many costly projects in Ukraine, was suspended because of awful economy of the country. Mother-Nature has already started reclaiming the area, with grass and dirt covering plates of concrete and some survey stakes.

But its obvious for everyone living in here that projects like this (interstate highway between Moscow and Kiev) will be put to life, for example as soon as next billion of dollars gets send by IMF or something.
So our small vagabond group of earth liberationists went to vandalism as soon as survey stakes were noticed. Just to help the Wild and hasten the process. We do believe the task was worth it.

And the reason for this is the thing that’s often lost in communiques of our comrades world-wide. Its the most wonderful and magical feeling of communion with nature. When one does not only feels invigorated and excited because of his deeds, but something extraordinary happens, that gives hope and provides the momentum necessary for continuation of our project.

During the process of (tiresome and dangerous ’cause of police intervention) joyful destruction, our hungry and thirsty band (reasons for our thirst and hunger being banal travel from point A to point B) kept stumbling upon bountiful bushes of wild sweetbriar, so that we managed to fill ourselves and eat/suck the juices to our delight.
It is in moments like this that one gets to really appreciate the connection that comes into being when one turns away from civilization and towards untamed Wild.

“In the night of 28.08.2011 3 wheeled loaders were torched in Gorky Park (Kharkov, Ukraine). The incident is reported by local municipal authorities. Police and firefighter brigades have been at work on the scene since morning. Firefighters announced that vehicles were “intentionally put to fire”.

Chief engineer of Gorky Park, Oleg Grinenko, mentioned that loaders had just started their work in park. The belonged to a subcontractor whose task was to provide for new road infrastructure. One of the destroyed loader’s market price was estimated as $60 000.

Since the beginning of work construction on may 2011 (road is supposed to cut through the biggest park in the city), the construction site saw numerous ecotage actions, expropriations of construction equipment and mass protests.”

State backs down on ousting forest defenders in the Elliott

2SEP

Sept 2nd. The Oregon Department of Forestry will no longer hand out cease and desist letters banning protesters from large portions of the Elliott State Forest, the Oregon Justice Department has confirmed.

During recent protests held by Cascadia Forest Defenders and other environmental groups in the Elliott, ODF officials backed by Oregon State Police distributed letters telling protesters their activities in the forest were illegal, and that they must leave.

That’s unconstitutional, says a civil liberties lawyer in Eugene.

‘If you enact a closure order, it needs to be a narrowly tailored closure order for safety or health reasons,” said Lauren Regan of Eugene’s Civil Liberties Defense Center. ‘But to shut down all roads and land because you don’t want to deal with protesters is patently unconstitutional.”

In an email to The World, a Justice Department spokesman confirmed that ODF no longer will hand out that kind of notice. The spokesman declined to comment on legal advice the department gave ODF.

The issue stems partly from an Aug. 8 protest held by landowner Barb Shamet, near an Elliott logging site that abuts her property near Allegany.

Shamet announced to forest officials her intention of meeting with them near the logging site to read her own cease and desist order. She was in the process of suing to stop the clear-cut and wanted the logging stopped while the issue was worked out in court.

ODF responded by closing a road that led to both the logging site and Shamet’s property. The public is not allowed in logging areas for safety reasons. An official then read a letter to Shamet and her supporters, telling them to leave the Elliott State Forest or they would be arrested.

Regan said the ODF handed out the letters without the Justice Department’s input. ‘State forest lands have not had as much experience with dealing with First Amendment rights,” she said.

Tar Sands Solidarity Action in Portland

Portland Rising Tide dropped an anti-tar sands banner today from the Burnside Bridge. The group is acting in solidarity with communities, organizations and individuals resisting tar sands development across North America.

Rising Tide’s action comes on the heels of the 2-week Tar Sands Action campaign in Washington DC. 1,253 American’s were arrested in an act of civil disobedience at the White House to send a message to President Obama, asking him to stand up to Big Oil and deny the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline permits.

The Keystone XL pipeline is required for Big Oil to profit off of the social and environmental disaster that is the Alberta tar sands. Current tar sands mining has brought increased cancer rates, polluted water, and mass die-offs of birds and fish in the largely First Nation communities of northern Alberta.

Tar Sands Action organizers have put a call out for activists to hold the date October 7th for further action. This is the final Congressional hearing on the Keystone XL pipeline. Regionally, people are encouraged to visit their local Obama 2012 headquarters and inform staffers that you will withhold your support in the upcoming presidential elections until the pipeline is stopped.

68 Arrests at tar oil action

Aug 20 was the first day of two weeks of every day civil disobedience in front of the White House, demanding that the President block the permits for theKeystone XL oil pipeline project. This project would extend to the Alberta Tar Sands in Canada, and has been called the fuse of the biggest carbon bomb on the planet. Tar sands oil is so energy intensive to extract that if the mine (it’s mined not drilled) was run solely on it’s own oil, 4 barrels would be consumed out of every 5 mines, with only one available for market. That’s five times worse than conventional oil, making a Prius burning gasoline from tar sands oil the equivalent of a Hummer for CO2 emissions. On top of all else, much of the proposed tar sands mining expansion would destroy Native American land and force people to leave their ancestral homes and ways of life forever.

This is intolerable, but for once Congress and the Tea Party have no say in the issue, it is entirely in the hands of the Executive Branch, at the State Department. If Obama’s administration does the right thing, there’s nothing the Tea Party can do about it! Therefore, for the next two weeks, people are sitting in at the White House to encourage Obama to stand up to Big Oil. At this first protest, just the first of a two-week string of similar protests, there were 68 arrests. These numbers will grow in subsequent protests if the entire 2,000+ people who have committed to show up for civil disobedience at the White House to stop the tar sands pipeline all follow through.

Anti Nuclear Blockade in Switzerland

On 22 May, the second time the “people against nuclear power” instead. The initiators and founders demand the immediate withdrawal from nuclear energy and call on the economy and politics and, finally, to invest in renewable energies. Not surprisingly, the organizing committee is dominated by left parties and reformist environmental organizations. — We believe it is hypocritical to demand the withdrawal from “life-threatening nuclear energy” without also asking the question system. The use of high-risk technologies, the conscious acceptance the most massive and irreversible environmental degradation and in general the exploitation of man and nature is not accidental, but necessary part of capitalism and its logic of profit. In a society where everything is subordinated to the production of value, are words such as “sustainable”, “environmentally friendly” or “socially acceptable” manner of sale, but given the daily exploitation and oppression, a mockery.

As long as we fail to fight for a society in which the production of the real needs of people into account, and is not just the conquest of new markets, as long as we have not created a kind of living together, where people as free and equal meet self-determination and solidarity can, without having to cede their will on bosses, politicians and executives have – in short, that is a communist society with anarchist principles – as long as this will change in this situation nothing – with or without nuclear power plants.
We therefore call for a libertarian block against nuclear power in man. We collect a 10-clock at the station Siggenthal Würenlingen to take the “long haul” in the direction Beznau nuclear attack. Flags, banners and all that is used to hearing on our demands are of course very welcome!

Social revolution rather than “green” capitalism!

The chain of ecological disasters, their dimensions are almost impossible to quantify and the consequences will still be felt for an incredibly long time, tears coming: The nuclear meltdown in Fukushima and the devastating explosion of the rig Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico are only the most prominent examples in recent times. If you like, for example, yet all the shipwrecked oil tanker remember that in recent decades have polluted vast marine areas? Anyone who has tasted the still images of the poison gas disaster in Seveso, Italy, and in Bhopal, India in mind the thousands of lives? Anyone who is aware of the ongoing environmental degradation in the Niger Delta, where drilling for oil aware, in the rain forests of Southeast Asia, where massively cleared, or in the Amazon Basin, where gold is mined? Who can imagine the world in 40 years when an estimated 200 million people are due to the effects of global warming on the run – 20 times as many as today?

The error in the system

Although many of these disasters person or entity can be identified, the fatal decisions have in effect, it would be wrong to single companies, employees and government overseers seek to do with the guilt. We live in capitalism, whose sole purpose is the production of surplus value is constant. In competition with each other standing, companies can exist only if they value generating enough that in capital reinvest the form to be able to and through rationalization and modernization of the price of goods competitive to keep her for – they do not, they are the fall revealed inevitably . The higher the cost of inputs, j e higher wages for workers and workers with a constant value of the goods, the less profit they can beat out. So it is in the nature of capitalist production, part of the production costs as low as possible to keep the variable – in other words, to maximize the yield. The degree of exploitation in capitalism is not moral considerations Kapitalistin or the capitalists on, but is subject to economic constraints.

S omit vice- en from a capitalist point of view, questions about the reliability, sustainability or de m level of environmental destruction, which the productions given article committed n is one, from a purely economic perspective: improving the working conditions, safety or environmental improvement of production processes are more costly and therefore reduce their profits and hence the competitiveness of the company. Also, a capitalist or a capitalist with lofty moral standards is through the competition finally forced to constraints in economic capitalism to bow it, or they will continue to remain capitalist Kapitalistin or anything. This also applies to the operation of a large restaurants such as for a nuclear power plant or an oil company.

A “green” capitalism?

For a few years makes a new buzz word around, that of “green” capitalism. On the one hand, this includes attempts by direct or indirect “environmental taxes” to a more sustainable mode of production companies and citizens to conserve natural resources to force. On the other hand, it also meant companies that impose high environmental standards, either itself or the use by the development of new “sustainable” technologies to a new market (where they are supported in turn supported financially by the government side).

Now that sounds particularly in light of recent disasters once very beautiful. But a closer look, offers this “green” capitalism is no serious alternative, but turns out to be rather a distraction to the justified anger of much of the tracks to steer people into controllable n. At the same time opens up a new capital, profitable market. Even if we assume that there are some proponents and advocates form of capitalism is such that the belief is actually an energy and environmental change happen to it can do these not the capitalist constraints around: Even in a “green” capitalism must companies add value, in order to survive. This means that even with the production of “environmentally friendly” technologies or compliance with certain environmental rules, the K apitalist inside and capitalist en counted Wung, its workers to exploit maximum, while she / he must hold a minimum production costs.

Of course, could now argue that there are enough strong support would need only to economists oppose the legal compulsion. In fact, yes again and again legislate by strict conditions, the value to be achieved in some sectors, reduce the. it must function of the state, the latter shall issue, laws are taken into account in capitalism, however, namely that of the “ideal collective capitalist”. This does not mean that the state pay of the capitalists and capitalists is in, but that he interest has one, sovereign territory a smooth accumulation process to guarantee in his: The objective is to maximize revenue while minimizing expenses. Crisis situations are, now an environmental, social or economic nature, it is his view avoid what a constant attempt by the balancing of different interests leads to. Stricter environmental regulations are therefore acceptable, as long as they offer longer-term positive impact in the state budget (and not, for example, lead to capital flight). Even the most idealistic politician, a politician no matter how green needs to rise to prevent economic constraints, if he or she is interested in the existence of the state has one.

During a state of national r e bene still performs a regulatory function, it occurs on the international stage in competition with other states. An economic, political and military imbalance especially for the Environment to ensure that states on the population of other countries benefit more powerful – especially in environmental issues: Whether it is the highly polluting mining of resources in poorer countries by Western firms, or the dumping of hazardous waste European or North American companies in e -evelopment and emerging countries.

Resistance from below to build
But if we can not continue the way government does, how can we bring about a real ecological change? The answer is simple: We ourselves have seen that environmental problems in large-scale capitalism can not be solved. Thus if we have an interest in the actual averting the ecological disasters that surrounds us and d in the coming decades, both quantitatively and qualitatively is still massively expand as we need to tackle the problem at its roots: Our goal must be the unconditional abolition of capitalism and building a society to be the one in which social, economic and environmental demands constitute a contradiction. A society in which the purpose of the production is not profit, but the appeasement of the needs of all people. A society, then, in both the production as well as the co nsumtion basisdem OCRATES is decided.

Fight against the intolerable conditions under capitalism take over the world on. No matter whether we opposed the construction of new nuclear power plants, against job losses and wage cuts, against tuition fee increase, for the observance of human rights or the overthrow of dictatorial regimes to use us: We must recognize that our struggles the same direction lead. We all defend against various dimensions of a system of exploitation and oppression of a large part of the people for the profit of a few is based on. It is important battles in the spirit of solidarity and internationalism to bring together our and us together for a better world – no bosses, party officials and functionaries. The workplace and the school, the neighborhood and there ‘s nuclear power plant , the road and the refugee camp: These are the places of our agitation. Let’s use it!

Mexico

On the first day of this month there was news that shocked our consciousness. A comrade a thousand kilometers from where we are had been wounded in action, his name: Luciano Pitronello.

We know that he continues to be a warrior even in the conditions he is in, he who rejected the technology that all the sheep have brought to further deepen the pockets of the telecommunications industry, he who decided since he was an adolescent to remain in conflict against all authority, who carried out his life as seemed right to him and as he pleased, he who did not limit himself to just words and curses against the social peace and who took in his own hands the decision to make it explode at all costs.

With a fire extinguisher filled with gunpowder you once again wanted to destroy the existing order, but something went wrong and now you’re held captive in a hospital with a future still uncertain.

The press, the authorities and, even more, Chilean society make fun of your condition, but there is a saying: He who laughs last laughs best. And we laughed at seeing the destroyed bank where we detonated an explosive charge of a little less than half a kilo of gunpowder, along with two cans of butane gas and a bottle of gasoline, all tied together tightly with heavy wire, inside the ATM area of Banco Santander in the deserted town of Tultitlan in Mexico State, yesterday, June 29.

The front structure of Banco Santander was completely destroyed, broken windows and the partially burnt place was our response, our laughter, our revenge, our weapon that we programmed and left inside the bank which we call: Direct Solidarity, openly, without intermediaries, without excuses.

The deafening sound of the explosion last night was your voice, the voices of those close to you, our voices and those of comrades still unknown to us throughout the world.

The inept police saw our action, the damages caused by our improvised explosive device; they were powerless as always, unable to foresee a strike against a bank that has now become a global target since Tortuga was badly wounded in the streets of Santiago; just as in Chile and Argentina, we have now attacked it in Mexico.

Santander has no way out, because as long as there are individuals who act in solidarity and arm themselves to take to the streets to illuminate them with fire or with the brilliance of broken glass, propaganda of the deed will prevail, the authorities will continue looking at each another without knowing what to do because even though we may fall prisoner or dead, they cannot stop the war that they started several centuries ago, since the beginning of civilization and agriculture.

Tortuga this was for you!

01.06 we torched electrical measuring and control devices in 2 underground service booths of a water communication system that brings hot water to a military intelligence site in Butovskiy forest. To add to the fact that this infrastructure serves military personnel, more than 800 trees were cut during earthworks for this water supply line to even appear in the forest. To hamper service brigades further, we also spiked the road they use for maintaining the system.

05.06 we torched an excavator at a highway construction site west of Moscow (Volokolamsk direction).

06.00 and 10.06 we expropriated some construction equipment and destroyed geologists’ measurement posts in the glades of Butovskiy forest.

11.06 we broke into yet another underground service booth and put to fire all the digital and analog devices and tools inside.

We dedicate these attacks to Marie Mason and Eric McDavid. We don’t have an honour of personal acquaintance with them, but their dedication to protecting our Planet and conscious choices they’ve made not only to act, but also to stand their ground in the wake of state repressions, inspire us and help us to continue on our path.

Chernobyl/Belarus: Arrests and Brutality 25 years on

While the opposition leaders who had “survived” after the election campaign discussed how to organise the Chernobyl March-2011 (an anual antinuclear demonstration in Belarus) and agreed to make another action “for themselves” in the Park of Peoples’ Friendship, Belarusian anarchists decided to act more quickly and challenging, as well as to cover more people then the authorities kindly permit. —- On 23rd April the was a screening organised in a picture gallery, dealing with the antinuclear topic. Movies “Victims” and “Nuclear debates” by Vladimir Chertkoff dedicated to the Chernobyl liquidators and a science conference on health care. —- On 24th April another screening took place in a second picture gallery. —- We demonstrated the movie “The Clowd” directed by Gregor Schnitzler which depicts the lot of a small settlement near anuclear power plant.

On 25th April members of the Antinuclear Resistance were planning to
carry out a peculiar flash-mob action in several public places. In an
hour the anarchists were to visit three areas of heavy pedestrian
traffic: “Riga” supermarket, an area at the “Pushkinskaja” metro
station, and a bus stop at the “Kamennaja Gorka” metro station.
Picketing the fist place for at least 10 minutes the participants were
actively distributing leaflets with the position of anarchist concerning
the nuclear power plant construction in Belarus, holding banners and
giving a speech through a loudspeaker. Thus we tried to remind the
population of Belarus once more that that would be us and our children
who will have to pay off the credit, but not the authorities, for it is
clear that the budget consists of our taxes, and if it’ our money, all
the expenses must be approved by the people, not some random guys from
the government.
At the next stop-over thing suddenly went wrong when about 15
plain-cloth cops started to grab the participants who had just started
the action. All in all 12 people were detained, some beaten up and put
before court the next day. All of them got fines (150 euro each) and the
foreign activists were deported from the country.

We call upon everyone who is against the NPP in Belarus to the active
protest against such a construction. So much for walking the same root
year after year, so much for sitting at home discussing the impudent
authorities, go out onto the streets, inform the others about the
dangers of the atomic power engineering, use direct actions after all.
If they don’t ask for our permission for the NPP construction, why
should we ask for permission to protest?

Can’t Cheat Karma?
The government’s roundup of environmental activists in “Operation Backfire” was only possible because the lead arsonist, Jacob Ferguson, had agreed to wear a wire, travel the country, and prod his friends into talking about the crimes with the Earth Liberation Front.

The government has repeatedly called Ferguson a “hero.” U.S. Attorney Kirk Engdall has said he was “essential” to the largest investigation of the radical environmental movement in U.S. history.

In exchange for doing the government’s work for them, Ferguson, who was involved in about 18 arsons, was sentenced to no jail time and five years probation. In other words, the most prolific arsonist in the history of so-called “eco-terrorism” got a free pass.

But Ferguson was arrested on April 6, 2011, on drug charges and now faces prison time for violating these conditions. April 6th will be his first probation violation hearing at the Eugene federal courthouse.

I think this is worth highlighting for a few reasons. Ferguson’s drug history is not new information. In fact, the government used this against him in order to pressure him to become an informant. The FBI was well-aware of his personal history, but chose to ignore this because it was the only lead they had in arresting members of the ELF.

This is yet another example of how far the FBI has been willing to go, and the shady deals that agents are willing to make, in order to secure a victory in the “War on Terrorism.”

Two members of Earth First! taking part in a tree sit-in were arrested by Palm Beach Gardens Police March 27th

Courtney Claar, 23, of Lake Worth, and Brandon Block, 25, of Jupiter, were arrested and charged with trespassing. They were booked into the Palm Beach County Jail Monday evening and released Monday night on their own recognizance, according to jail records.

Both are members of the Everglades Earth First group, which has been staging tree sit-ins for the past five weeks at a forest just south of Donald Ross Road.

The environmental group has been protesting what it says are plans by the city and the Scripps Florida Research Institute to place a biotech laboratory on land in the Briger Forest area.

The group held a vigil outside of the jail that night, prior to the release of Claar and Block.

They have court dates tentatively set for April 20th. We are preparing legal defense to get the charges thrown out, which as many of you know entails

Anti Nuclear Marches in German

In Germany 26th March, protesters have staged what they said was the country’s biggest ever demonstration against nuclear power.

More than 200,000 people took part, in four cities.

Nuclear energy has become a major political issue in Germany since the crisis in Japan and could influence a big regional election on Sunday.

The party of Chancellor Angela Merkel, who is perceived to be pro-nuclear energy, could lose the state of Baden-Wuerttemburg for the first time in six decades.

“A group of ELF activists reports a bank firebombed on the night of March the 12th. Windows broken and 4 molotovs (3 litres of gasoline total) thrown inside the office made for a nice and bright firestorm.
Bank we have chosen to attack plays major role in providing financial support for deforestation project in Khimki forest: it loaned out about 29 biliion rubles to the contractors responsible for toll highway construction that has already killed acres of forest north of Moscow.
We express tender solidarity with anarchists from Belarus who suffer from state repression for taking an active position against destruction of our forests (they are blamed for a firebombing attempt at russian embassy in Minsk, Belarus). ECOTAGE AT FIELD RESEARCH CENTER Mexico

“We, the Earth Liberation Front, take responsibility for the arson at the Mexican Valley Experimental Field in Texcoco, Mexico State. The field belongs to the National Institute of Forestry, Agricultural, and Livestock Research (INIFAP), which is dedicated to the research and development of “improved technology” in the areas of agriculture, animal husbandry, and forest exploitation. For example, INIFAP has been responsible for the production of over 100 new genetic varieties of plants since 2005, greatly increasing the country’s crop production and therefore its demand for land to be deforested and polluted with pesticides and herbicides.

This year, INIFAP opened the National Center for Genetic Resources (CNRG), which is responsible for storing genetic samples of every species endemic to Mexico and Latin America.

The Scientists in this field argue that their project is beneficial to ecosystems, but if we analyze it, these people are really dedicating their lives to the creation of new types of organisms in the name of progress. If we leave such a great variety in their hands, will anything ever be out of their reach? INIFAP also carries out forestry research, which it uses to promote the increased deforestation of wild habitats. For example, two weeks ago INIFAP published an article about the timber industry, an institution that had developed “ecological” (note the quotes) furnaces for drying logs in the mountains north of Puebla. In its article, INIFAP made its hopes clear that these furnaces would lead to growth in the region’s forestry industry, thus threatening an environment in which all kinds of species coexist.

Therefore, we claim the following ecotages inside and outside this federal institution:

1. Leaving an incendiary device—made from three liters of gasoline, fuses for detonation, and air freshening pellets as delays—among hundreds of sacks of herbicide in a warehouse inside their facility.

2. Leaving another incendiary device—fueled by four liters of gasoline—at the entrance to the main building near the experimental field.

3. Leaving two incendiary devices inside two greenhouses outside and behind the facility.

4. Also leaving behind declarative and threatening graffiti—like “THIS TIME IT WAS FIRE, NEXT TIME IT WILL BE BOMBS,” “ELF,” “INIFAP = DESTRUCTION OF WILD NATURE,” “FLT,” “MORE GMOS, MORE FIRE,” among others—on the windows, floor, and walls of the main building; the walls of the other buildings; an INIFAP van; and the power generator.

We’ve struck again. We made use of months of thorough investigation to study the target, taking into account the shifts of the guards, who must have certainly been surprised to find out we were there that morning of February 27—leaping over their security fence, running through their parking lot, and turning our existence into a threatening aggravation to the projects of those who dream of total domestication. We infiltrated the institution itself as well as its fields, where the greenhouses were located. We shifted into action once again, our fire reigniting to damage and destroy the property of those who believe they own the planet on which we survive as the degenerate species of the technological-industrial system.

Keeping our imprisoned anticivilization comrades Adrián and Braulio in mind, we’re absolutely ready to make this type of attack a clear message to industries and institutions that implement technological development.

In another sense, the attack was a symbolic act directed at science and technology. To us, the action may have been of very little or no importance, but it was still necessary, since from our perspective it’s deplorable to sit around like mere passive spectators waiting for things to change. We don’t believe that this action is going to change reality right away, as that would make us either naive or overly pragmatic. But it does function as a desperate act of expression through which we signify that the reality we live in must be negated in its totality, and that the best negation is the destruction of whatever gives meaning to the establishment: “social peace,” normality, institutions, respect for property, etc. In this case, the destruction was directed at one of the major parts of modernity’s system of domination: techno-science. This time, the attack was on a federal government institution responsible for forestry research and biotechnology, among other things. As a pretext for its existence, we’re told that it is seeking a better life for the human beings who live in this country, creating acceptance of this kind of research among the populace. But, as we all know, there are also negative aspects, which to us have greater impact and are more unacceptable and than the benefits: the artificialization and domination of wild nature, especially of potentially free beings including human beings, plus the denial of the necessary autonomy for free human self-determination. On the one hand, the state grants itself the right and the obligation to provide its inhabitants with the means for their survival. On the other hand, the state isn’t even necessary, since it causes alienation whenever its subjects doesn’t find themselves directly immersed in activities that serve to satisfy their survival needs. This leads to numerous psychosocial problems, and of course generates the market as an intermediary, which in turn functions through the standardization of the massive present-day consumption that is deteriorating the environment. This is very much related to the institution we attacked, which attempts to make excuses for continuing its scientific barbarism by creating new technologies—in this case, biotechnologies that claim to solve the problems that science itself causes, fostering the idea that such ecosystem deterioration doesn’t matter as long as we have the science to fix it. Thus, a vicious circle is created that attempts to solve problems with more problems, under the pretense of a “better life.”

Our proposal is to negate the artificial reality that civilization has constructed, not indirectly, but by seeking a way of life that doesn’t involve domination—the most autonomous way of life possible within wild ecosystems and without intermediaries, especially those that are mere deceptions like science and modern dominating technology. Of course, this proposal won’t be accepted by most people, which is fine and even desirable, since among the problems posed by forms of social organization are the dominating structures conceived by mass societies. Therefore, we trust that people who have a truly critical and radical conscience will reflect on the real problems confronting us and act accordingly.

We continue to be the burning rage of a dying planet.

Arson attacks on vehicles in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Image: http://www.lahaine.org/b2-img11/arte.JPG

We were fed up with the futile criticisms of the domesticated thugs who, under the guise of promoting our well-being, have taken the life from us with their machines of domination. We decided it was much better to look at what actions a person can take to make each day a little more free.
Far from wanting to debate and get ourselves involved in the absurd welfarist demands required to be a part of the reformist struggle, we say to them that we shit on their cages, cars and police … and on every person who is satisfied being a slave …
They should all feel unsafe because war has been declared on society by those who have respect for nature.

Freedom for our comrades imprisoned in the bomb case in Chile who are on hunger strike.
Greetings to those who spread word of our actions.

Arson attacks on automobiles during the last week of February 2011:
· 4×4 truck on Bahia Blanca and Melincue (Devoto).
· Automobile parked on Llavallol and Pedro Lozano, a block from the station, and at the door of the legal address of the publisher responsible for the district government (VDP) website.
Do it yourself, theory and practice.

Climate Direct Action

Federal scientists have concluded that we’ve just come through the warmest six months, the warmest year, and the warmest decade in human history. Nineteen nations have set new all-time temperature records; the mercury in Pakistan reached 129 degrees, the hottest temperature ever seen in Asia. And there’s nothing abstract about those numbers, not with Moscow choking on smoke from its epic heat wave and fires, not with Pakistan half washed away from its unprecedented flooding.

But that’s just the half of it. It’s also the summer when the U.S. Senate decided to keep intact its 20-year bipartisan record of doing nothing about global warming. Global warming is no act of God. We’re up against the most profitable and powerful industries on earth: the companies racking up record profits from fossil fuels. And we’re not going to beat them by asking nicely. We’re going to have to build a movement, a movement much bigger than anything we’ve built before, a movement that can push aback against the financial power of Big Oil and Big Coal. That movement is our only real hope, and we need your help to plot its future.

Arson at National Institute of Forestry, Agricultural, and Livestock Research in Mexico

We, the Earth Liberation Front, take responsibility for the arson at the Mexican Valley Experimental Field in Texcoco, Mexico State.

February 19, 2011 – Russia Eco Anarchist fight back

anonymous report:You can see video and detailed story in Russian here:

http://blackblocg.blogspot.com/2011/02/blog-post_2825.html

“Early in the night of february 19 2011, under the light of full moon, we torched caterpillar bulldozer at the glade in Khimki forest north of Moscow, Russia. State and private capitals have merged in order to build the road through forest – we’re making them pay for every tree they cut.

“Building of a bourgeois cottage settlement takes place in Moscow region (Russia) in a place called Opaliha. As usual such a building stationed in a nice forest area – on the banks of the lake Lesnoe (in Russian this name means ‘Foresty’). Nowadays there are huge forest felling of gentle pine trees and water grounds are being destroyed due to the massive building works and excavations. So, forest and lake are for sale, privatization and
finally – destruction. We can’t accept it!
We, true daughters and sons of Nature, burned the depot of combustible building materials settled in one of the
unfinished cottages. This leaded to a huge fire in the whole building. We also burned electric transformer and so brought for these killers of
Mother-Earth considerable damage.

Fiery solidarity with Mikalaj Dziadok, Aliaksandar Fratskevich, Ihar Alinevich and Maksim Vetkin – anarchists from Belarus (accused of various molotov cocktails attacks on state and capital offices), Adrian Magdaleno Gonzales and Braulio Arturo Duran from Mexico, Walter Bond (‘ALF Lone Wolf’) from USA, anarchists from Chili (Bomb Case), and those comrades persecuted in Greece for supposed membership in Conspiracy Cells of Fire.”

BRIANA WATERS RE-INDICTED
On January 26, 2011, Briana Waters was re-indicted in a 9 count indictment which also served as a superseding indictment for Joseph Dibee, Josephine Overaker, and Justin Solondz. Briana is accused of: conspiracy to commit offense or defraud the US, possessing an unregistered firearm, arson of a building used in interstate commerce or in activity affecting interstate commerce, using a destructive device during a crime of violence, and arson of a building belonging to an institution receiving federal financial assistance. The use of a destructive device charge alone carries a 30 year minimum sentence. Trial is currently set for June 27, 2011 – although this date will almost certainly be pushed back. January 12, 2011 – Mexico ELF SET FIRE TO BULLDOZER, VEHICLES“…

We are not in solidarity with the suffering of people, we are in solidarity with the energy and strength of those who do not tolerate their suffering …
words of the Conspiracy Cells of Fire

Militants from the Frente de Liberacin de la Tierra wanted to show our full support for the prisoners of the Conspiracy Cells of Fire who will be prosecuted on the 17th of this month. So, armed with gasoline, we took to the streets to stoke the flames of insurrection. We claim responsibility for the burning of:
A white van parked outside a luxury home
A cargo trailer
And a bulldozer inside a construction site
All these targets were in the town of Coacalco in Mexico State.
We are against civilization and its whole system of domination. The burning of cars is a clear challenge to the authorities who look after the interests of those who destroy ecosystems. Cars are now and will always be an important target, since the automobile industry is one of the biggest polluters, is making the land desolate and destroying the little remaining wildlife. More and more each day, the cities are filled with these machines; society (as always) is complicit with the planetary destruction, making the automobile industry more profitable due to the massive demand for them on every street; their unhappiness multiplying, disguised behind a smile on their face and their hands on the wheel. Life in society is false like everything in civilization. The newest cell phone? The latest car model? A luxurious beachfront house? The newest technology? All are lies, it is all an illusion fueled by the false hope of becoming ‘someone’ in life, a life governed by those who always tell you what to do and what not to do.
Because of all this, we say, war on society, war against the established order, war on modern civilization!
With this communique, in addition to this small critique of the systemized society, we also want to make public our participation in the International Network of Action and Solidarity. It will be based on the extensive effort of many individuals, cells and/or groups. We know that with time a network made up of people unknown to each other but with a common purpose will be one of the primary threats to the capital-state. We are already it, now that we are each acting on our own, imagining ourselves striking together, but in different parts of the world.
A fraternal greeting to the CCF of Greece, to the FAI in Italy, to the individual activists in Chile, to the ELF of Russia, to the autonomous individuals burning cars in Argentina and Germany, to the other comrades of Mexico and to any another person or persons who wish to participate in joint efforts of direct confrontation against all authority for years to come!
Freedom for comrades imprisoned in Mexico, Greece, Switzerland, Chile and throughout the world!
Animal and Earth Liberation!
Atonement through social war!
Fire to civilization!

ELF action in Plymouth Mass

Plymouth

WCVB TV Ch. 5 (Boston) has reported that at least a dozen commercial fishing boats were vandalized in a boat yard in the town of Plymouth, Massachusetts during the night of January 9. Phrases such as “Commercial Fishing = Slaughter,” and the initials “ELF” were painted on the boats.

ELF in Russia

reported anonymously:

“ELF torch highway construction vehicles during New Year festivities

A new industrial development program kicks off in Russia for Moscow region starting from 01.01.2011.
It implies 90% deforestation works that will hit what’s left of local nature and wildlife, with numerous problems in tow like draughts, fires, polluted air and further deterioration of city ecology.
So in a gesture of contempt and defiance of these plans we set 2 excavators and an asphalt-laying contraption. Vehicles went up in flames soon after the clock hit 12 am, to the sound and light of various fireworks. It was a sight to behold.”

“On the nights of january 19th and 21st a group of ELF activists carried out two attacks on a winter sports complex, built in the park in southern Moscow.

In the aftermath, one bobcat is burnt (5 liters of gasoline and rags went all over and inside the vehicle), and a pavilion that houses construction vehicles set on fire in numerous places.”

In solidarity with environmental and anarchist struggle all over the world,
ELF-Russia”

“In the midnight of Jan 27th, a group of ELF activists set out to the construction yard, situated in the forest in the southern suburbs of Moscow. Despite the site being brightly lit by numerous light masts, we managed to crawl right up to the vehicles (Caterpillar bulldozer and another unidentified one) with 10liters of gasoline and some rags. Guards were either drunk or asleep in their special sentry car, so up in flames the dozers went. Our scout reported fire to be blazing brightly 5 minutes after we left the site (and still no alarm), so we hope the engines will burn good tonight.

P.S. The company attacked is the same one that’s responsible for destroying Khimki forest due north of Moscow (more about the problem can be found at khimbkibattle.org)
